You're wonderfully central here: Te Puia's geysers and living Maori village are just two minutes away, and the lakefront, the hot pools at Polynesian Spa and Wai Ariki Spa, and the cafes, restaurants and supermarkets of central Rotorua are around six. The Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest, with its world-class mountain biking and walking trails, is a short bike ride or about a nine-minute drive, and Skyline's gondola and luge, Zorb and Canopy Tours are around twelve minutes across town.
Getting Around:
A car is handy, though you're close to everything. The Rotorua Golf Course is across the road, Te Puia two minutes away, and the lakefront and central Rotorua around six. The Redwoods forest is a short bike ride (about nine minutes by car), with Skyline, Zorb and Canopy Tours roughly twelve, and Rotorua Airport about twelve minutes away.
